If I was sadistic enough, I would slit my wrists and watch myself die slowly and laugh hysterically.
2nd day of mid terms is today, and it was Taxation. Only 2 questions came out, and were fucked up easy, but you know what? The last question was based on the latest chapter..and later did I notice, I missed out on it because I "hid" it somewhere in my file -_-
ONLY IF I DIDN'T FUCKING MISS OUT ONE DAMNED FUCKING CHAPTER. 7 MARKS OUT OF 30 MARKS GONE LA KEONG KAN.
WHY LA WHY.
JEAN LOUIS YOU FUCKING DUMBASS
Mood: BlurListening To: Beepings in the libraryI feel awkward sharing the same table with another guy who's playing some MMORPG thing in the library, but then again, we don't have other power sockets to leech on when it comes to power supply. Just about 2 weeks ago, I sent my laptop in to the HP Service Centre because I mysteriously burnt my BIOS definitely not due to my..heavy downloads. My RAM is still intact ( at least they didn't swap it with a 1GB one or something). All of my files are still unmoved, especially my treasured 8 series of Top Gear. But what is the problem? The HP Customer Crap Care Service: - Forgetting to forward my request to the engineer.
I called the customer care centre at 8.30am, on the 22nd of April 2008, and I submitted my invoice/receipt's number to whoever it is on the phone. Firstly, I think he was drunk - he spoke with a voice like Louis Armstrong. I had to make him repeat himself a few more times before I could even get a bloody clear sentence. It's not about my handphone, the service operator's line, or his phone wire, but his bloody voice. How did he even get into the customer care centre in the first place? - Out of 6 times, I only managed to get through twice.
This is rather irritating. I called for the first time before the 1st call at 8.30am, and I got mysteriously cut off. Not even a sound of "please hold on" or "I'm sorry, our representatives are currently busy, please try again later". I only heard dialling tones, then came the engaged tone. Somehow, I believe that the HP customer care centre was avoiding/cancelling my call through their dumb Caller ID machines. If any of you read this, don't even think of argueing back. - You've got a crap information database system.
Just because I did not have my receipt (which had my serial number), I could not ask for the representative to check on my unit's status on the time I called the service centre again at 1.30 ~ 2pm - ish. In fact, this other person (surprise, surprise. Another Indian.) was a little bit rude and uneducated. I remember that my father got approached by Nokia once, saying that they do know of another Sibert who sent in their phones for servicing here in Kuala Lumpur through their database. With my experience with DiGi's customer care service, they can trace down whoever's name their phone lines are registered to. And famously, McDonalds will key in and save anybody's details when they call with a certain number to remember their orders, so on and so forth. These companies are going further than you think although they're in different operating lines. And yet, I wanted to give in my name, my laptop's mind-boggling model number, date and time of my submission of the unit, and you're telling me that you can't check the status of my laptop? I am the customer. I am not your father, or your dead grandmother, and I have full rights in knowing what in tarnation's going on with my laptop after week of no call, no show?
Honestly, I am disappointed with such an established organisation. You have posters about collaborations with DreamWorks and the Sydney Opera House regarding design and sound systems. Let me knock it down to you: When it comes to video editting and sound engineering, nothing beats an Apple of any sort. If someone comes up to me and say that the BIOS/Motherboard is a normal thing to report, I think you've got a serious quality control problem. Can't you idiots stop rigging your damned units like a freaking timebomb or something? And if you think that I'm not entirely satisfied with your customer crap centre and I do not give a shit, let me tell you what I did. I went all the way to your bloody HQ in Bukit Damansara area, sat down and waited probably for another thousand years to get to my turn although I was 2 numbers away from the line, and got the confirmation to pick up my laptop on the following day anytime after 10am. To know of the time through a phone call was a problem to your customer care centre, I feel. Until a point that I had to go to your HQ to sort things out? Are your workers behind the counter having their own low-qualitied boozing session or were they busy raping other Indonesian maids? Oh. And if you think that's not the end, I did not even receive a call regarding my laptop's arrival. And when I went there, one of your staffs took just about 20 minutes to find out if my laptop was in the building or not. She was about to say something like: "I'm sorry, sir, but your laptop is still put on hold." She wanted to say that before I purposely interrupted, saying that her colleague (who was sitting RIGHT beside her), said that I could pick up my laptop from 10am onwards. That shut her mouth, and did things work efficiently. I got my laptop back, all my files were intact, and I stormed out of the HQ in an instant. Being in that place just makes me sick. I'm happy I got my laptop, but you guys really do suck in maintaining loyal customers. This is not my first encounter with HP. In fact, when my brother sourced out this laptop to suit my budgeted needs, I had serious doubts. Not because of the operating system, but because of the brand itself. And now that I'm working, and I know how painful it is to get a customer complain, I'm going to try that out myself. And I'm going to make sure it gets through. What? Local complain? Oh please. Since you are so proud of putting your bloody DreamWorks and Sydney Opera House posters everywhere, I'm going to be a serious bitch by setting up an international complain. Talk about efficiency. Lose your jobs and go back to your bloody jobs by making roads for ladang getahs. Some things never change.
Mood: Tired Listening To: Daft Punk - Aerodynamite Usually, when it comes to stuff I've never listen to, I'd usually say: "I'm not a fan of ______________" Which is the wrong term, after being in touch with music for quite a while. Now that I've had a slight taste of how the music industry is like, it's more to like: "I've never heard of _____" That's a proper term. And I find myself wanting to look for more materials, musicians, genres, and melodies to experiement with these days. Besides that, there's the study of polyrhythms that I've never had the chance to go through. In fact, I'm getting a taste of polyrhythms through this song by Daft Punk. And yes, Daft Punk. I've never really listened to them before, but it's through these experimental artists that you learn how to mess around with new effects to make a song sound different compared to the rest which are being produced. Other than that, I don't know. Where exactly am I heading with this music path? Guess I should just kick back and focus on the guitar and toss whatever's irrelevant aside. But a mix of everything is just so..tempting.. Hohoho. Anyways, Harry Gregson-Williams stuff on the Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty OST is extremely good in terms of production. I seriously dig his stuff. And some of the songs, for a tactical game, have very very heavy Jazz influence. In fact, the opening theme - Can't Say Goodbye to Yesterday (I think) is a Jazz number. Fortune's theme song is a mix of electronical experimental orchestra with Jazz, and that's just so.. bloody nice. Pure ear orgasmismnessed. I don't know how to explain this, but on that OST, when the bass of a certain instrument comes in, it just hovers around the speakers .. Like an audible mist that surrounds you? I want that effect, but I have no idea how to achieve that sort of thing with a crap Vista OS. I shall retreat to Keith @ The Ark Studios for reference.. XD And this feeling; being one with those sort of music .. is just simply amazing. It's like, I've been emotionally directly linked to these sort of music? When I listen to something that's produced, mixed and composed properly through these headphones, it brings a smile to my face somehow. I think I've accidentally made it into my religion. .. Time to upgrade to better headphones, that's for sure.. XD I should head to the library now and study Management Accounting. I just realised that I know nothing of the subject. It's not even bloody accounts, that's for sure =___=

I don't know what's up with me, but I've been constantly stuffering from serious sleeping disorders. I do not take afternoon naps or whatsoever, and I end up sleeping only 2 - 3 hours per night, and ... well, come online again..
Urgh.. :(
What is wrong with me! It's not like I need to stay up to think or to do anymore music, right..
wtf..
Mood: Pissed Off Listening To: Solo Drum Loop of Break Free
This time, experimenting on Reason 4's convenience in editting and randomising note velocity has taken its toll on me.
I was fooling around with the tool window where whatever you need for a song is ready-made available. So I messed around with what Reason 3 had provided earlier, but never had the chance to mess around with it.
But now, I regret to the stage that I would love to shoot myself in the skull for doing so.
I'm very particular when it comes to notes, and how they should sound. Drums, being digital or not digital, but hitting it at different pressure points result to a whole different story that can be told in an audible sense. Like, a soft hit and a hard hit.
This is rather crucial when it comes to acoustic or 'traditional' instruments such as the piano, harp or voilin. And when you're working with Reason, editting the voilin parts IS the most crucial part of every song. The emotions for real voilinists are very sensitive when they're presenting a song. A hard strike by the bow means aggression, whereas a soft soothing strike would be.. a holiday by the sea side.
Of course, with me being disabled from having a keyboard/MIDI controller makes things harder for me because I'm unable to capture the essence of the human's touch to tell my story through this song.
And .. What's so frustrating about randomising all these velocities when it's actually somewhat beneficial because you do less work if you don't have a MIDI controller?
The answer is: By highlighting EVERY SINGLE FUCKING INSTRUMENT AND RANDOMISING ALL THE GODDAMNED VELOCITIES.
In short, everything is screwed. I have to redo everything. EVERYTHING. There goes my Richard Clayderman Joins The Army part of the song. ARGH. Now the strings section of this song is swallowing the lead at some points. ARGH. I can't hear my favourite snare marching thing! It's not even a fucking sample. I just had to imagine a snare drummer's pressure points every 64th of a damned beat. What is it? WHAT ARE THE DAMNED VALUES?! 1-3-2-5-3-5-2-3-50-2-1-3-4-5-1-2-3-50????
...

Currently, I'm very contented with my laptop's performance. Seems to me, I finally decided to shut down the sidebar widgets and guess what?
No more gadgets using up your RAM memory just to check the processor's speed and the availability of the RAM.
I felt kind of weird when my 2GBs RAM Vista OS actually lagged with Reason 4, watching some parts of movies, and lagging while playing .. SCAR.
SCAR is one of those games which has rather..satisfying graphics.. But the realism is the thing that blows me away everytime I play it.
Except that SCAR isn't fully compatible with Vista, therefore, the downfall for this would be.. the sound's effected.
Not like the engine sounds are entirely real, so it doesn't really matter.
I loaded up Reason 4, along with Audition again, and it was less problematic than ever.
Wheeeeeeee XD .. Now I know what to do just to optimise my laptop's performance..
Stupid Microsoft..spending too much money in wasting good resources from the PC just to look nice.. Y'all can't be an Apple/Mac anytime and that's THE fact!

It's not the tolls in KL that would kill me at the moment.. I managed to find routes from this area to other places of Selangor/KL without paying tolls.. Unless if you want to cut down time.
But today, I had to spend another RM10 ..
It's simple.
1) Stop by the petrol station 2) Open the fuel cover thingy, unscrew and place the fuel cap on the car's roof. 3) Pump petrol 4) Shut the fuel cover thingy 5) Start the engine 6) Go more than 20kmph and there goes RM10.
Cibai.. the last time this happened was on the highway and there's NO chance of getting that back. LOL. UGH.
Bye bye RM10. Could've used it for petrol or ice cream. Not another one...
Mood: .Listening To: Dream Theater - Pull Me UnderSometimes, we try to turn into a new leaf. Most of us succeeds, but some of us fail. For those who succeed, good for you all. For me, I'd say it's time to lift my ass and to move on. I gave my dad a call regarding my Starbucks status: . My first day of work is not going to be tomorrow, or anytime this month. Mr Fery told me that the classes to commence my first day of work in the outlets is full for this month, so he would give me another call early of next month. Looks like I have some time to enjoy before I disconnect all means of communication .. Have to start balancing my college schedule with that dreadful 3-day 8hour-per-day course at Starbucks HQ .. I don't know how's that going to be possible.. And..yeah. He was okay with it. Knowing him, at least he would be happy of me because I'm going to be working for my money soon, with some of his support of course. Just that I'm lightening his burden in financing me. .. That and something else.I will try to make this possible, although it is going to be hard. There's nothing to be afraid or scared of, so here's one of the reasons why I'm working: 1) To ease my dad's headache in financing me 2) To give a money kick-in-the-ass for my brother so he can fly off to Australia, and would hope to finance a little bit in his everyday living/part of his studies/porno collection/spendings there in Melbourne/Sydney. I'm doing this, because I know he's going to finance me 2 years after he starts working, and when I arrive there for my degree level. .. More to like, "get the hell out of my house, you two children of mine and get a life and live by your own there!" sort of thing..I have no other purpose of living. There are dreams, but .. They're not worth dying for in Malaysia. My mind's only set to work, study, play a little bit of music, and finance those who're in need.. My brother's top priority. And as I thought I'm doing something nice, I decided to give my mum a call and.. .. The usual happened. There can never be a day where we will ever talk nicely to each other. This time, I pulled back and stood firm. I just let her blab about whatever she wanted to say. While she was blabbing, I thought to myself.. "What the fuck did I do to deserve all this bullshit?" I'm sick of ranting of whatever she wants to say. But sorry, things'll never change. I tried, and I've thought of her till I got her something that she might find cute and appreciate from KL.. .. But never again. Never again I shall ever think of others who doesn't appreciate it. After all, she wasted my RM 3.24 for nagging me over the phone while I called her up. She wanna talk about miscommunication, she'd better start thinking who's calling fuckin who before she opens that filthy mouth of hers. That was the only time I wished my credits would've run out in the middle of a phone conversation so I wouldn't feel all guilty for cutting her off. Just study, work, and finance my brother. It's the least I can do for the family at the moment, anyways. If anybody sees the new Camry in the house anytime soon, please burn it for me. I don't give a shit anymore. Sorry everybody, I tried to patch things up with my mum, but it gets more pointless as the day passes. In fact, I even deserve dying for whatever I've done. But honestly, I give up. Till I die because of an accident, I'll try and get that job ASAP and finance my brother and I.

But then again, when work kicks in.. there's no more free time..

Sometimes it's hard to see what's true, and what's not. Who's true, and who's not. What decision's right, and what's not.
If we could see through all that, life wouldn't be exciting - minus the depression for some people, I guess.
But I find it whenever someone can't let something go after it has passed in some senses. Those who can't really pick themselves up, and move on, are rather..pitiful.
I don't know. Guess I'm just pissed over some things. The elections and the secrecy of the governments - surprisingly - are pissing me off for the first time in my life. Other than that, comes everything else.
EVERY thing else.
Someone kill Badawi for me, then I will be happy. lol
Mood: Blur Listening To: Nothing..
Wrote this in the morning..6.30am or so..
No idea what sort of nonsense I wrote, but whatever. --- Y’know, insomnias should cease to exist.
I just thought of the elections (duh) not long ago while tossing and turning in my bed. And I find that the government isn’t doing much.
Have they, or have they not done much? I’ve got no idea. It’s funny when you do something wrong, the government is against you. And when you do SOMETHING right, the government is against you. Having the mass media by their side, their true colours are being shadowed by lies. Nobody really knows what’s going on.
It’s not like me to think of the nation’s current economy state, but ever since the regression in 1999, or 2001, or 2020 (surely got wan –lah-), the economy never got any.. better.
Besides, having free education (also needing to pay a certain amount of fees for certain things in school, yearly. Free.. yeah.), I can’t say much about.. studying our asses off over crap subjects that doesn’t really benefit us in the end.
Now, coming to the fact of the everyday essentials – money. What nonsense is that when you can’t even earn much? The amount may sound a lot at times, but sorry, to really take care of a family of 4 in Malaysia, you require at least RM20,000. The sort of thing where your kids don’t need to work for their daily spending or future education. Hell, they can even slack off at home while waiting for their next phrase in life to happen.
Any lower than that, and Malaysia will be one hell of a nice place to live in.
Talk about “Tak Nak”. Everything revolves around that phrase. Look at the cops these days, you see them wearing badges about anti-rasuah, but it’s just another decoration piece. What? Corruption and bribery happens everywhere but only at a different level? True. Very true. You know what happened to my brother’s friend when he tried to bribe a traffic warden because he was speeding?
He checked into the local lock-up.
What do we get here? Dumbasses who don’t even get paid enough, shaking your hand like you’re their fucking Allahs, for giving them extra income. Talk about being polite. I remember I had to bribe a damned cop off because of my brother’s brainless action of not paying his roadtax – for about 2 and a half years now. And what? He shook my hand saying: “Thank you.”
As stupid as it sounds, or as unpatriotic I am, how can citizens like us be proud of what country we’re from when we don’t get what’s our money’s worth in the end? Money aside, how about hard work? Oh wait, in a country like this, everything works around bribery and money, so hard work is just bullshit.
Bullshit? You don’t agree? Then explain why top business tycoons in Malaysia have tight connections with both business partners and gangsters to reign in terms of money.
I forgot where and what the hell this is, but my dad was telling his colleague once about corrupted politicians, and how my mum stumbled upon this gigantic-white palace place thing that belonged to this motherfucker who should never even existed in the first place in Tambun. Just where ARE they getting their money from? Oh wait. It’s right before our very own eyes. The next time you head to McDonalds, it’s stated right there in the receipt - “GOVERNMENT TAX”.
My cousins once told me. Malaysian cousins that I never really knew of, anyways. Mainly because they spent most of their lives outside of Malaysia, relaxing. What they say is that money being earned elsewhere, is so much better compared to Malaysia. Whatever you strut for 10 years here, is as equal to 2 years elsewhere.
Sorry, guys. If I had to vote, and even if my life depended on it, I wouldn’t vote for anybody at all. It is because of the arrogance of the past, they’ve screwed things up for us, now.
Until the day I get sent to jail for riding my brother’s Honda Wave 100 with an expired road tax, I’ll just work my ass off through studies, and get the hell out of here.
And probably never return. After all, there is technology for all of us to keep in touch with, anyways. ---
Mood: Pissed off Listening To: MSN beeps and a couple of construction nonsense.
Yes it has!
As a Malaysian, I admit that I have not been blind because I started noticing the amount of effort they put in advertising who to vote for and all that nonsense.
Well, you all can burn in hell.
If you all want to put up all these advertisement nosense, try to have some common sense to NOT put it on middle-lamp posts that will block the driver's view of the opposite traffic during some turn to cross the street.
And the asshole that blocked me for today goes by the name of Mr Pua from DAP.
Fucked up pricks.
Reduce road pricing and increase music scene support and I will definitely sneak in to vote a few thousand times.

Oh my God. I'm fucked this time.
BUT SHIT DOES IT SOUND GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDD
Mood: XDListening To: Gf's laptop's broken cooling fanIt's like...zzzt. I'm not used to her keyboard, but bloody hell, she's using my laptop -_- Anyways, I find it quite interesting when we put our mind to something, or when we force ourselves to do something we've had passion in, but in a different field, quite satisfying results can be produced. As for me, a mix of my rusty brain, and a lot of re-wiring in the usual MIDI programme, Reason 3.0, benefited me quite a bit. I've managed to figure out some new effects in a song, but I believe that I'm not exactly using the devices or racks properly. But who cares when it comes to all that? Even if whatever I've done is like, a total mess and probably the longest and weirdest way, I managed to get what I wanted. And it's still rather astonishing how technology tends to improve over time. It's unbelievable that everything analogue is starting to turn.. digital. Computerised. Soon, there's no such thing as analogue recording anymore, I guess. But the problem is.. The more we venture into this, the more fake, it sounds. Guess that's the mark of the 20th century, I suppose? There are so much that's going on in my mind, and I would want to express it through words, but.. I'll leave everybody who's reading this at a blur ( as if they're not already).. It's funny how I've gotten in touch with music a little bit more seriously. I find myself complaining that each specified sound in a song isn't .. enough. There's not enough Lo in this, it's too sharp, it's too soft, blah blah blah. And in the end of the day, the sound that's being produced is rather.. biased. That's why I need $$ to get not only new, but a good set of headphones. Please God, inspire me to fuckin work la kanninehpukichaocheebai. Oh. Friendly local artists. Have you heard of the MACP before? It's the Music Authors' Copyright Protection in Malaysia. Something.. that'll.. get you money. LOL. Something about royalty being paid for your tracks being played in clubs, radio stations and anything commercialised. I never knew such things existed before in Malaysia. I must be bloody outdated. Lol. For the moment, I have no idea what it does. Briefly, yes. But I haven't got the time to study it just yet. I'm guessing that the person I'm working for, Iz, is hinting to me to join along with him very soon. But the minimum qualification to enter would be 5 of your self-composed songs. I don't know if that would mean.. FDM-based songs? Buh. Can't be bothered at the moment, anyways. .. Dream Theater is the shit \m/ >.< \m/ And special thanks to my bro for unlocking the secrets of mIRC for me.. bwahahahahahaha.. HELLO RANMA.. XD

Mood: Pissed off, TiredListening To: FFVIII OST - Eyes on MeFuckin' wombles. For those who took an LRT today, I think you would notice the rather.. slow service that Putra provided. Guess what? It all started at 5.15pm, and I happened to get fuckin involved. If your fuckin LRTs had problems, get it fixed before you run them, you damned Malay wombles. Today, I went to BB Plaza to find out that the JPJ there moved/closed. Whichever it is, so I went off to the JPJ in Wangsa Maju to find out that they would end up vandalising my licence, and.. Well, hopped back on the LRT... Where it all began. The journey on foot that made me walk of a total of estimated 8km. From Jelatik, to Pasar Seni, main roads and all. Nyum nyum .. No taxis means of public transport were used, from Jelatik till Pasar Seni. --- 5.15pm: I could really use some help this time. Currently, I'm at the Jelatik Putra LRT station. something went wrong with their damned LRTs and it won't go any further, but backwards to Gombak. I referred to my mini RapidKL guide, and things aren't going well for me. No busses that I would know of would go to my area, nor would I spend another buck in taking a T-bus when I had a U-ticket bus for the day. ... And nope, it’s not going well at all. I’m probably 2 or 3km away from KLCC. It’s more to like, my transit, just to get back home. What’s better is that I’m going there with an empty stomach. Guess I’ll hitch a ride straight from Pasar Seni. Screw LRTs. I just changed my mind as I’m typing this through my iPod. I’m changing my destination. From KLCC, to Bukit Bintang – Sungai Wang area for dinner. Then get a damned bus that goes directly from Pasar Seni back to my place. Without a compass, I’m guessing I need to head South West from where I am, to get to.. Wherever I need to bloody go. Way to go, you PutraLRT wombles. Guess I made it to Dato Keramat now. Time to refer to my map before I head to the wrong place. That river behind Dato Keramat LRT station.
Used this as a landmark to see which direction I was heading..
Kinda forgot what road was this. Jalan Damai, was it? I remember it had lotsa embassies on it.
The City Elevated highway, is it? Used this as another landmark to get to Jalan Sejahtera..
This shows I was heading towards the right direction too.. lol.. right before I saw that Nepalese fella.
Yeah. If it rained, I would be so fucked. I had no umbrella, nor were there any 711s close by -_-
5.44pm: I just passed by Damai. Guessing this will be my first LRT stop. Usually, on an LRT, it would take at least 2 minutes to reach to the next stop. A total of 4 minutes if the LRT was still working. This took me .. 29 minutes. Wow. This is starting to remind me of Amazing Race: Asia, now. I’m trying to find this place called Jalan Sejahtera, which connects to Jalan Tun Razak; wherever that is. Getting to that road, and heading down South, should lead me to Jalan Bukit Bintang. From there, I should know my way around. Oh my. What sites in these residential areas. I just saw a Nepalese digging his nose. 6.09pm: Holy crap. I just saw this place on Jalan Tun Razak. Some place that offers limos for rent. More than 10 new Mercs, and 2 Porsche Cayenne Turbo. Can I play Grand Theft Auto, now? XD Another landmark.. Then I saw...
 THIS .. XDXDXDXDXD
6.27pm: Finally! I see buildings I know of! Auto Bavaria, Pavillion, and I see Bukit Bintang not too far away. Goddamn it. I need FOOD! 7.04pm: Finally dining at McDonalds. Gahahahahaha. FOOD!! What a distance. And it’s been a while since I last came to this place.. Chinatown yawwwww... 7.19pm: Back on the roads again after a relaxed meal. I should be 10 minutes away from the bus stop. What a damned trip. Stupid Putra wombles. 7.48pm: Fuckin wombles. I hope both RapidKL and Putra burn in hell. One damned bus that heads to my area refused to open the bus doors. Mood: BlurListening To: Prince - Kiss I know I'm a little bit too late, but I would like to wish every one of you a Happy Chinese New Year with an open heart, regardless of the times that I have been pissed off, or being bullied by silly comments or conversations online, but whatever it is, Happy Chinese New Year to all of you. :) And for those that I've hurt or pissed off in a way, I'm sorry for whatever it is. Hope you all had a safe and a happy one? Was in Penang as some of you knew. But was kind of tied up with the usual emotional family, until I was being restricted from .. outings, I guess. That, and I just wanted to relax while I had the chance. And the CNY north-south expressway traffic jam was no joke............... bah. Besides that, I would like to wish all the lovebirds Happy Valentine's Day. For those who aren't attached, have no fear. It's Friendship Week or something, so .. I guess you all should know how it goes? Whatever it is, have a great one, people. :) --- .. E kiacc. Palyica uv drec caycuh, E taletat du fedrcdyht frydajan so bynahdc cyet ypuid sa. I'm not sure if going all the way to Wangsa Maju to the JPJ centre is worth it. Or should I just head straight to Bukit bintang and settle it there since there's a branch there? -_- All these because.. I don't know how to get to PJ via bus, and I've got no car at the moment.. lol
Mood: BlurListening To: Dream Theater - Hollow Years Before I start off, I'm going to learn Dream Theater's As I Am and Hollow Years. Two very fun song. One extremely easy, and the other would be ..Dream Theater standard. It'll take me probably a year just to complete every part of that song. Yay. Back to the iPod: I thought my jailbreaking spree came to an end, Vanesa tossed me a link to someone's wordpress, and my goodness. They've finally jailbroken the iPod Touch's 1.1.3 I've been complaining about. Finally an installation file that'll allow you to get every single thing that the 1.1.3 offers - after you pay the small fee to Apple. Finally, I'll be able to see my icons wriggle like a bunch of Ricky Martins and arrange my iPod's Springboard PROPERLY. Goodness me. XD.. But this process is going to take quite a while. My iPod Touch has to download the 1.1.3 software update, which means that it'll be 160mbs. But before that can happen, I have to download a few programmes to prepare the iPod Touch from suffering from any side effects. For those who're interested, get BSD Subsystem, OpenSSH and Services (??) installed before proceeding with the 1.1.3 jailbreaking process. For those who didn't research properly, you need to start off with either a jailbroken 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 before you can jailbreak 1.1.3. If you're familiar with jailbreaking 1.1.2, you need to jailbreak or install Oktoprep in 1.1.1 to prepare it for it to be jailbroken. Same goes for 1.1.3. You need to prepare either 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 to prepare it for it to be jailbroken in 1.1.3. With that said, you should downgrade it. There're several ways to do so. In iTunes 7.5, for Windows, shift + click your Restore button with your iPod connected via USB port, and get it downgraded to 1.1.1 In iTunes 7.6, I think the easiest method ( instead of going through all those MS-DOS nonsense) would be to connect your iPod Touch to the computer, switch it off, then switch it on, but hold down on the Sleep/power button and the Home button for 10 seconds. When that happens, the iPod should show a blank screen after the Apple logo like it was switched off. Now, release the sleep button and keep on holding the Home button for another 10 seconds. With your iPod plugged, your iTunes will detect the iPod in recovery mode. With that done, Shift-click restore and get it to load the 1.1.1 *.ipsw file. Once that is done, wait probably a thousand years for everything to be done to get your iPod back to 1.1.1 .. Get online, enter Safari from your iPod Touch, then go to http://jailbreakme.com, scroll all the way down, then Install SnappApp. Safari should close, and it will automatically install Installer.app into your iPod. Now the iPod is jailbroken. If you plan to upgrade to 1.1.2, read on. If not, skip. If you made it this far and if you're still reading but do not own an iPod and you're getting lost with whatever is being mentioned, exit this site. --- Jailbreaking 1.1.2--- Once the installation is complete, enter Installer, scroll through All Packages, or go into Tweeks 1.1.1 and install OktoPrep. This will prepare your iPod to be jailbroken once it updates to 1.1.2. Using the Shift-Click method, this time, Shift-Click on Update in your iTunes, and get it force-updated to 1.1.2 instead of updating it to the latest version. Remember to Shift-Click on Updates, and NOT Restore. If you Shift-Click Restore, it will "reformat" your iPod and it will lose the jailbroken information being implanted and written by OktoPrep. Now once you update to the 1.1.2 version, you will notice that you've lost your Installer. With this, you need to download a file, that's availble on youtube.com, under the keywords "ipodtouchmaster 1.1.2". Follow his video about how to jailbreak 1.1.2, and get the iPhuc file that he uploaded. In that file that you're downloading from Rapidshare, the rest are not important, but if you're a Mac user, start the OSX file. If you're a Windows user, start the Windows.bat file. Remember that you need JRE installed in your computer or your MS-DOS won't function and the jailbreak won't even take place. After you open either one of the files, just let MS-DOS do everything for you. In the JavaScript popup, check "Install SSH" as it'll be quite useful in the near future when you want to upload emulator ROMs and customized themes through SummerBoard. Once everything is completed, reboot your iPod. After doing so, click "OK", and MS-DOS will reboot your iPod again. After doing so, your Installer and SSH should be made available Once you do that, you'll be able to use your Installer application with ease on your 1.1.2 - meaning to say, it's jailbroken. To get all your iPhone applications to work on 1.1.2, enter the Installer Application, then go to Sources and add a new one: http://applerepo.com. Head back to the Install page of the Installer Application and search for the iPhone Applications for 1.1.2, and you'll just have everything there which is available in the iPhone. --- Jailbreaking 1.1.3--- Now that all that is done, all you need to do is to head to the Installer Application, and if you haven't, make sure you have these installed into your iPod Touch: - BSD Subsystem - Required. 6.6 MBs - OpenSSH (Should come along when you've jailbroken 1.1.1, but you can try installing it. Will update once I jailbreak my 1.1.3) - Services (???) Remember you need a good Wi-Fi connection, or you're going to face the same problem like me at the moment. With that said, head back into Installer, and enter a new source. Currently, there are two sources which provides the jailbreaking service: . ipodtouchmaster's repo - http://ipodtouchmaster.com/files/repo.xml . ijailbreak's repo - http://ijailbreak.com/repo.plistEither one of these two works, I think. But I would stand on ijailbreak's repo because you're able to jailbreak your iPod when it's still in 1.1.1. ipodtouchmaster would be on 1.1.2, I think. Head back to Installer, and depending on which repo site you've used, you'll be able to search it on your application list. for ijailbreak.com, you'll find it under iJailBreak Mobile. Get either the 1.1.1 or the 1.1.2 update file, depending on your iPod's current software version. Either way, the next process is going to take most of your time. Have your iPod Touch plugged in to be charged. Once this takes place, your iPod will take about 35 mins to 1hr 35mins for this process to be done. What the iPod is going to do at this point, is to download the 1.1.3 software update from Apple.com, which is at a 160mbs. As that happens, BSD Subsystem is going to jailbreak it as your iPod updates itself. From what I heard, it should automatically reboot itself, and when it does, you'll see your iPod with a new interface with the applications which was supposed to be there ages ago - Notes, Mail, Google Maps, Stocks, Weather, and the brand new Springboard Customizer - where you're able to make your icons dance like William Hung and arrange it to your desire. Well, that's about it. I'm still trying to get my iPod Touch jailbroken. With this connection, I honestly doubt I'll be done by tonight. Edit: Don't follow ijailbreak.com. I don't think it really works. Getting it up to 1.1.3 jailbroken isn't a problem. I tried updating straight from 1.1.1 and it didn't really show good results. I didn't get the benefits of the January Software update. As per getting to 1.1.3 from 1.1.2, the programmes doesn't work. On the last step, it says that there's something wrong with the programme. Right now, I'm trying out the ipodtouchmaster.com/files/repo.xml sources, and it's far easier. Just continue off from your jailbroken 1.1.2 and everything should be fine. Currently waiting for the iPod to finish downloading the *.ipsw file from apple.com .. again, for the 3rd time today. Bah. *smokes cigarette*
