After a day's of hard work of constant uploading, it FINALLY works!

anyways, this is the song I was recording for 7 hours with all of that layering.. Of course by the time I wanted to record the solos, I ran out of energy and I honestly wanted to complete the song. So that would explain the last chorus' messy solos ..

1st and 3rd solo composed by Ying Kit .. well, part of it la.. 1st one is mostly what i can remember..3rd solo would be the starting of it and the end of it.. haha.

2nd solo ... is.. :) .. VAN HALENNNNNNNNNNNN HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

And the sound for the lead guitars is so clear and sharp.. I like it.. Should've cut down on the gain and played harder for rhythm so it didn't peak too easily (like the lead guitars)

anyways, mixing is a bit messy cos .. well, i was half stim and i'm no sound engineer.. haha

I can't believe I played this way... Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo hooooo XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

I think i'm a step closer to being one of those guitar gods.. in a very messy way... WHEEEEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEH

And I'm gonna scrap that 12-l;ayer guitar track thing.  sounds like fun, but it's not once you start recording it.. only recorded 6 layers and it sounds soooooooooooo.. gOOOOOOOOOOOD

I AM SO HAPPYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYy

I've got class in about 3 hours time.  time to sleeeps.

Finally.  From a scratch piano track, it took me endless mouse clicks to get Ying Kit's assignment-song done.  Of course, he just asked me to add in a little bit more instruments, but I ended up trying to perfect it.  The mixing is.. I don't know.  I'm not a sound engineer though I try to be one.

I'm not posting the song on Multiply because people are able to download that.  So, I left it on the band's MySpace website.

On the other hand, things aren't that bad after all.  Finally, one fruitful product after my absence from Reason..  Of course, I ran out of ideas and I had no midi-controller to check out effects Reason 3.0 can provide, so I re-used a lot of flutes.  I think there are 2 or 3 flutes there, no?

and gosh.. Boom boom. XD .. EQ-ed the bass to the maximum limit.. Wahahahahahahaahahahahahaha..

Go check out the song, yeah?

I'm reviewing whatever I'm doing socially at the moment.  It seems like as if I've lost everybody mainly because of my own attitude.  Not to say that I treat them badly, but I don't feel like socialising so much these days.  No idea why.

Well, it depends.  Especially this last minute trip back to Penang without my parents (and many of you) knowledge, I just want to relax after the days of subjects that I despise of in KDU PJ.  And taking only 3 subjects is pretty light, which frustrates me, and it makes me feel depressed.

I should take up a job in Starbucks or in that music shop at The Curve since it's close by my area..

The old influences are coming back to me; the ones that made me "a little bit" violent back in form 3.. I keep hearing the repeated verses and choruses to Metallica, Slipknot, In Flames and Children of Bodom for no reason.. Those heavy riffs..The angry lyrics.. And all that hatred..

I've got no idea what's coming up me.

All I know it's affecting my guitar in terms of theory and recording.  My next project would be to test out 12 layers of distorted rhythm guitar of different distortions in a studio (which is going to be costly for the band) for the song Better Than This.  Your typical emo-rock ballad commercial song.  The drums sounds sweet, but the same problem exist.. Joshua keeps going out of tempo, but at least he improved a lot since the first time I met him ..

Harmonising with Ying Kit on the solo for Better Than This is going to be fun.. But what's going to be more challenging would be the rhythm.  Anybody can play lead if they practice hard enough.  But certain rhythmic skills require a lot of concentration.  Example, for the pinch harmonics of the 7th fret of the 5th (A) string, is..well, somewhere around there.  A photographic memory would be require to achieve the right note.

Or it'll seriously sound out of scale.

Maybe there's no secret to pinch harmonics.. It's all in the right hand picking and positioning across the body of the guitar..

And just a few days ago, I managed to pull off an accidental pinch/artificial harmonic with the palm.  Seems like an interesting skill, but takes a few milliseconds..

.. Whatever.

Anyways, I went to Borders to check out Guitar Grimoire, and I felt like a kindergarten student trying to learn how to read and write.  I didn't understand the terms being used in the book, but it comes with a DVD (I think) that teaches you to understand the terms a little bit better... Which I've already downloaded off the net, but it's useless without the book.  It's about RM111.90 .. Reasonable for a thick textbook.  Plus there's so many secrets in it..

Besides that, I'm still trying to figure out the Pitch Axis Theory..

.. And RM65 for vocals and drum recording is kind of cheap in Kuala Lumpur.  The band (or more specifically - Joshua) found a studio which is owned by a very talented jazz bassist, Rikki Omar.  If my memory doesn't serve me wrong, he plays in the same jazz group with Lewis Pragasam during the annual Penang Jazz Festival.

And I managed to lay my eyes on Lewis Pragasam's drum set in the studio .. Odd setting, but very cute sound.. Of course, I didn't dare touch it since everything looked..custom made.

But hey!  Guitar recording is only at RM 55.. Which is kind of odd as I always expected KL studios to be more expensive.  Besides that, we don't record Audition for vocals unlike in Penang.. This time, it's Pro Tools..

And unlike KDU PG, it's updated.  Lol

And sch-wweeeeeeeeeeeet... There's so many things you can do with Pro Tools.

Okay.. I'm off.. I gotta do my crappy form 3 mathematics tutorials since I overslept on Friday ..

Joshua was asking me regarding sound engineering; the basic stuff, so I gave him a crash course.

In between of this online lecture, came 6 recording samples.. About mixing and about how some songs should sound like via recording processes.

This song is called Better Than This..For those who watched us play, this is the emo slow rock ballad song we would play usually in the middle of our set .. And probably a sample of what's to come if Six String Samurais ever release an album.. :)

Enjoy.. For now..lmfao

Be warned: Due to Windows Vista being a bitch, I couldn't clean the tracks at all unless I have an audio interface, so beware of the hisssssssssssssssssssssssses ....

Next experiment: 12 layers of distorted guitars!

Listening To: Nothing

I love my finals as much as how I love stepping myself on my toes, running into concrete walls, breaking the JEM JR into 2, smashing my effect pedals into pieces, locking up the rear bike tyre to slide and nearly knocking into a Ford Ranger, and how'd I'd get a writer's block when I feel like producing sweet music.

-_-

SUEY LAH.

Anyways, my final examinations are up next week, and this time, KDU tweeked my schedule to kill off lazy bums like me..and probably, the entire semester.  Having 2 of the most difficult subjects on the same day isn't anybody's cup of tea.

Microeconomics and Company Law.

-_-

Besides all that, all of us in the family had a major arguement, which means that things aren't going on so smoothly in a lot of aspects.  Would love to post a rant blog about it, but my time is over.  I've finally gotten lazy to try breaking any keyboards off laptops or computers by publishing my anger through words.

And besides the above, Joshua is going to record one of Panic Overdrive's songs.  Probably the easiest; A heavy-metal/rock ballad semi-inspired by Metallica and a little bit of Evanesence (SP?).  Which means that I have to record a draft sample for him to practice on.

If I could just plug my brains into a USB port on this computer and let it read through my brain waves without manually programming everything with mouse clicks, things would be faster.  Then again, I seriously think I'm missing of a MIDI keyboard.

But of course, hard work comes with satisfying knowledge.  I've never had as much fun programming drums, and trying to human-ise it as close to what a real drummer would play.  Watching the expression of certain drummers at certain concerts (eg. Metallica with the San Fransisco Orchestra, Guns n' Roses, Mike Mangini.. And I haven't even started on Dream Theater @ Live In Bodukan yet..) makes me understand a little bit about how the human drummer would work..

.. Which is somewhat worse than human psychology, but just as interesting as how the human heart works.

Some people may consider facial expression during musical performances an idiotic, childish and a foolish thing to show, but it captures the amount of pressure being used to hit the instrument..

Also - capturing that the musician is one with music..

Of course, things would be easier if I had a MIDI keyboard by my side, but working with the mouse isn't that bad.. Thinking of what the left and right hand are associated with, left and right leg, double/triple strokes for drumming and using the right pressure to make it sound as human as possible.. etc

I feel like I'm recreating Frankenstein..

When I'm having fun, the thought of Microeconomics just ruins my mood... And other events..

Can't I just shit a bunch of distinctions like other smartasses out there so I've got nothing to worry about?

And anybody fancy listening to the end product after I record the vocals?  LOL

If I could grant you just one wish, I know..
I know that you would be.. Happier than me..

Happier than me.....

In that dream, I was walking out your door.  Now,
I know you deserve so much more than this.
I can be, in your arms tonight.

And because I have the lyrics, I'm the one singing -_-

Anyways.. X)

Thank you, baby!

Not exactly my sort of present as my wallet was still in good condition and was the wallet I liked, but then again, I'd figure this would be a rather matured present..

Thanks again x)

Today, I was featured on Smack!.FM, being interviewed regarding Panic Overdrive.  What the band is, it's all about, and all that usual stuff.

.. I'm serious.  LOL

But then again, it was a Mass Communication assignment where this semester, some of their students took up the subject - Radio.  So, they did more onto the analogue style of live radio broadcasting, and Roy was the one who seeked me for a last minute help and a last minute helping hand..

Now, I have free access to use the recording studio in KDU XD.. Muahahahahaha.. XD XD XD XD XD

I felt like home when I stepped into the recording studio.. The sheer calmness.. The padded walls.. The.. the... consoles!!!!  AND PRO TOOLS DAMMIT XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

Rather refreshing..But I still miss Hits Studios.. Lol

Anyways, the interview was crazy.  The producer of the show, one of Roy's classmates, distracted the both of us which nearly made me go "huh?" on the mic when it was on.  Lol.. It was crazy.. And well, since I spoke of the band having an anti-dadah sort of image because we don't do drugs and all that shit before performing.. He considered us as a boy-scout based band.. The goody-two shoes.. I mistook him as I thought he was "insulting" the genre of music we were playing as a band, and I went..

... "Excuse me.  BOY-scout?  You wanna know boy-scout?  Ever heard of NSYNC?"

Kantoi instantly.  LOL.  I don't know if dissing another group on a radio-based assignment will get Roy's marks deducted for his interview.  LOL

Ahhhh... Back to assignments.. :(

Some shots:

One of the shows.. Where the Roy was DJ.. He did a good job, but still screwed up a little.. Lol

Producer vs. DJ

And I spotted this!  Lol.. Some magazine with a writeup regarding Ocean of Fire performing for some BOSS-based gig in Kuala Lumpur.. Good job, guys XD

The Interviewer..The interviewee..and the news lady who distracted me and Roy earlier on -_-

O_____________________O

I want :(

Getting prepared and nervous.. Lol

He tried to be calm.. LOL

Last minute mess-ups that screwed up his show.. Lol..

Was rather crazy, but I had fun.. Although it wasn't as hyped as an actual radio interview, but who cares, yeah?  Lol.. All the best to you all, Smack!.FM.  Lol

And I was wondering.. Have any of you missed anybody you cherished (regardless loved ones or family members) until it hurts you?

I kind of got lazy to log into Panic Overdrive's Multiply account, so I decided to post it up here.

Anyways, the new song is up and ready, but then again, with Moe being absent from the previous jamming session, I'm not confident if we're going to pull off that song properly.  Besides that, I need to look for the time to record draft copies and samples to distribute to the whole band so that they would know the structure of the song.

But then again, I'm bummed up with my assignments and college's being a serious bitch at the moment.  I can't stop thinking about this semester and it's seriously pissing me off.

Anyways, we're up on stage this coming Sunday, the French Art Festival.  Now, don't ask me for details.  When the band performs, only 3 people know - that would be Moe, Ying Kit and Joshua.  Roy and I, on the other hand, would be left at a blur.  Sometimes, we wouldn't even know if we're performing even if our performance is just a day away.

So, come what may, French Art Festival, we shall unveil a rather raw song with slightly raw talent and artistic composition (I hope?  Didn't turn out the way I wanted it to be due to complications and too much work..), and only 1% of it sounds very Van Halen-ish, and that is just the 8 bar intro.  No more, no less.

And not much of solo-ing, I think.  There goes the whole idea of making the song sound really old school and vintage-based.  Oh well.

Sometimes, things should be kept to simplicity, and I think this is the finalised version.

Besides that, Go Johnny Go is a song full of mistakes.  In fact, the current chorus was supposed to be the verse, the verse was supposed to be the chorus, the pre-chorus was discovered by accident because of the whole band getting confused with the structure, the bridge was done out of sheer desperation in completing the song, ending the song with a higher key and with that so called planned ending was also due to the reason that the whole band was confused with the structure of the song, again.

It's a song full of accidents, in other words.  In fact, the intro is based on accidental notes based on an Amaj chord on an Am key.. So.. Yeah.  Lol

It's something like drunk driving.  You do dope shit without thinking.

Well, I suppose that's about it from my side and the new song.  I suppose I can get back to my guitar, or maybe some sleep and try not to worry about my assignments.. It's affecting my sleep and consciousness..

For those who are going to be there at the French Art Festival, see you all there.  For those who wants to go but happens to be down with work at Island Plaza's Nike shop....................

... Just take care of yourself?  :(.  LOL

See you all there!  We hope to rock the stage along with the other bands there x)

I just reconfigured my clean guitar's settings.  It used to have a very slight chorus/flanger effect to make things sound bassier and very mysterious.  Not too sharp, yet round and warm on clean guitars..

Yes, I managed to make sad songs sound even more emo.  Reason why, is because I'm usually the lead when it comes to Better Than This by Panic Overdrive.. So, I decided to give in more feel since Moe does act emo especially during the SGGS gigs..

Remember to never give Moe any steps to the stage or you'll see a bunch of emo freaks!

Except for Ying Kit.. Because since I'll be taking a shitload of bars with clean picking, his hands will be free to take down more female fans' phone numbers -.-

I re-configured my distortion level and sound again.  Unfortunately, through an amp, it sounds extremely muddy.  Lead sounds okay, but rhythm needs to be both agressive and warm at the same time..

So something not too sharp, yet not too bassy..or it'll turn out muddy..

And I thought Physics was complicated..

On the other note, I perfected the guitar lower-higher neck slap that Steve Vai did back in 2003's G3 with Malmsteen on DVD.. Suprisingly, it's not only for show.. It's the same as picking the rhythm, but when I go on the higher notes, I'll aim for the slap harmonics.. Sweetness x)

Something new to hype up the crowd.. Until Kelvyn Yeang walks along, then that's when I'll pack my guitar on stage.  LOL

First up, Panic Overdrive performed at the SXI Red Cresent Campfire and bagged The Best Performance trophy.  Muahahahahaha.. After one month of no jamming sessions, our drummer forgot his parts to some songs, Ying Kit decided to become a serious rockstar by not playing his parts - leaving all of the rhythm work to me while he works on getting my friend's sister's mobile number -_-, Moe tends to sing on my planned harmonies instead of his usual stuff and I.. still stay the same.  Lol

Besides that, Panic Overdrive will soon be changing its name to Six Stringed Samurai.  Also, Moe seeked C. Loco for .. Well, advice and being a manager of the band currently.

Blah blah blah.. recording label sorta talk..

Problem is; what's the point of a recording label when you have no material to record?  Hahaha.. Whatever lah.

Anyways, nothing much happened today.. Managed to have fun on the highways once again with the Camry..but forgetting to turn on the ECT.. So fun wans.. Was vroom vrooming around in Simpang Ampat.. And then I heard a loudass engine coming from the back.  I wanted to say "stupid Merz SLK" because it was as low as one, and it looked like one.  But I shut up instantly and slowed down the Camry when I realised it was a Ferrari.  Wooooooooooooooo

The Performance:

Soundcheck was not bad but scary.  Of course, they had inexperienced soundmen once again during the first soundcheck which made things horrible for some of us.  Ear piercing settings for the bass, guitars, and vocals.  Uneven sound level for instruments, and the list goes on.  Thank goodness that the better soundmen came by right before the whole thing started.

What scared me was that whenever they did the sound check for the drums, and when they kicked the bass drum, I heard extra jingles.  I looked up, and I saw air condition ventilation ducts and a shit load of flurocent lights.  Yeah, the sound kind of.. moved the things up there which gave me the idea of it all being shattered halfway through the performance, hitting innocent audiences, but that wouldn't happen now, would it?

The performance was not that bad.  Except that I performed with an empty stomach and a thirsty mouth.  Seriously, a bad experience for myself.  And when I was performing halfway, I couldn't really feel my 1st/e string.  My fear was that it could've snapped which will cause the other strings to go out of tune as well.  But I have faced a new problem last night.  My string was being pushed off the fret board, and it was trapped behind my first fret.

I never new that'll happen to me.. Talk about Steve Vai hitting his strings so hard until his 1st string gets stuck behind his neck pickup.  Lol

Panic Overdrive.  Ahhh.. The usual lah.  Got heavy metal song, head bang.  Got solo, went solo.  When there were no vocals but only instruments, did some never-done-before Steve Vai top and bottom necks based on 4 beats-in-a-bar sorta thing (And yay!  The crowd cheered!! XD XD XD XD XD).  Then came.. Well, most probably, a signature by many great guitarists - the 2-hands-on-the-neck legato trick:

But not this one, of course:

But then again, for the night, watching school children playing Elvis Presley sorta music was really good.  I don't know how, and where, but bloody hell.  Watching a 13 year old kid playing super clean country blues riffs made me super jealous!  Also, I respected the whole band.  Seriously, I never watched anything better.

There were various music genres for the night.  I enjoyed them all.  And it was crazy.  The drummer for Panic Overdrive, Joshua Tan, was the drummer for the Flaming Pandas (Underwhere).  The guitarist and bassist of the Flaming Pandas were in Evan's (ex-drummer for Dysnomia) new project.  It was like, all of us were sharing members.  And since Evan, Ying Kit, Roy and I were there, we decided to pull of a personal joke by going on stage together to play what we used to play back in 2005 in Dysnomia.  Lol

Ahhh.  The whole concert thing didn't go bad.  It went pretty well, except I think that it wasn't properly promoted because I didn't really see many people?  Plus the hall was sooooo small O_O.

After that, I headed off to watch Spiderman 3.

Spiderman 3

Once again, Marvel or the movie director has done it again.  But then again, the viewers of movies like these won't ever know the true storyline for the comic-converted-into-the-movie sort of thing.  Besides the storyline, I have only three say.

1) The part where the two policemen were trying to look for Sandman in the streets after he got used to his new powers, the camera was really bad.  Inexperienced First Person Shooter gamers or those who never played FPS games, could've got dizzy.  The whole scene reminded me of a bad game of Half-Life.  Even Quake 3 wasn't as bad as that.

I don't know what they're trying to pull off.

2) Venom's a dumbass.  I mean, seriously.  I remember in the comics where the symbiote got to Eddie Brock, he had an IQ of..well, nothing.  I never heard Venom speak so much.  Of course, he wasn't as dumb as The Hulk, but.. Whatever.

Oh.  And they missed out on this in the movie:

What?  Oh.  I'll give you 4 other pictures so you can spot the similarity..

There you go.  They missed out on Venom's signature!  The tongue and the shitload of droolings.  Boo hoo :(

3) I don't like the Black Spiderman.  Too much bling blings.  At least make the suit look like a signature or a sign of the symbiote.  Venom was supposed to look like the Black Spiderman and vice versa, only because of the symbiote.  I prefer the Black Spiderman this way.  I find it super sexayh <3

That's it from me, I suppose.  Now, I'll just wait for Spiderman 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10 for Venom's offsprings to appear in the movie.. Carnage <3

Then comes Scream, Hybrid, and that purple symbiote with the long frog legs dude..

Half way through, we saw Stan Lee!!!!  Now that was worth the wait!  The legend of Marvel <3.. Now, which Marvel movie was it again that we never got to see Stan Lee?  Hmmm..

Overall, Spiderman 3 is not bad.  But for serious Spidey hardcore fans, I wouldn't dare say.  The first Spiderman already pissed off half of the world.  Same went for the second Spiderman, on a lesser scale.  Spiderman 3?  Don't know lah.

Besides, I'm picky these few days.  Lol

I just came back from an ex-schoolmate's place at Gat Lebuh Macallum.  Sat down there and caught up with him since I was riding the bike and not driving the car.  Nothing much.

Anyways, today's the day that got the whole band into a state of panic, no thanks to Roy.  Called him since last night and no answer.  He didn't even turn up for jamming last night.  Found out that he left his phone in his friend's car.  Sheesh.  Complications and frustration occured there.  Felt bad to bug Joshua to pick Moe up after he picked me up.  Was late behind schedule.

First performance was at 12pm.  We were the 2nd band (there were only 2 bands.  Panic Overdrive and Ian's band.. Which I forgot the name.  Paiseh.  lol).  Practically screwed up on a lot of places, bits and solos.  But it was satisfying.  Panic Overdrive catches the attention of youths.. Commercialised music, so it's pretty much suitable for everybody in the crowd.

Managed to see my form 5 Maths teacher!  Glad to hear that she's doing okay.  I just found out from my ex-schoolmate that she has cancer.  :( .. Must be lucky to actually meet up with her.  Although we played a lot of .. well, Rock music, she said we pulled off a great show.  Wheee!

2nd performance and set was at 2pm.  Played Better Than This, Don't Bring Her Around, Waiting For You and My Friend.  The crowd was even better because the whole hall was packed this time.  Support from the old and the young was amazing!  Really made you didn't want to get off stage.

I suffered from a series of nervousity.  Couldn't keep my legs still.  They just had to shiver tremendously @.@.. Also, due to starvation, I nearly fainted on stage after pushing my vocal chords too far during the first set.

For the 2nd performance, it was really good.  When we started off My Friend with the hard intro, I did a last minute decision to head bang during the intro since it was hard and heavy.  Although I thought it was an odd idea to headbang when nobody in the band would do it except for Joshua and Moe, suprisingly, the crowd I would least expect to go wild..actually went wild and showed a lot of support.

I think it would look kind of cool?  Seeing some dude wearing full black with a silver tie.. Playing a guitar with a colour contrasted to the outfit.. And well, headbanging with that School of Rock - Rock stance.  LOL.

The sort of headbanging position/stance where Mic Thompson of SlipKnoT would use..

Besides that, would come a mix of Alexi Laiho in headbanging in a different method.. not sure how to explain.  Refer to M is for Metal from The Alphabet of Manliness by Maddox.  Lol

Ahhh .. not bad.  The sound was good, but somewhat too sharp.  No soundcheck was provided, but it was okay as we were kind of behind schedule.  Everything went over the benchmark.  At least above average.  Everybody did well during the performance, except for that person from the Snake Show thing who got bitten by a Mangrove snake.  Pity.

Oh.  And I think some might complain about the food fair this year?  It rained, so the field was muddy.  I don't know.  I never went around checking out what's being provided this year, so I can't spare my 2 cents about this year's food fair.

Then again, the performance rocked.. been a while since I last saw a crowd this supportive XD XD XD XD XD XD

Ahhhh.  Next performance:  May 5th, Disted College.

Well, this Friday would mark the day of the due date of my first microeconomics assignment.  I don't know, but it's not entirely up to my standards.  I know there are so many available reasons that exists in the world for me to stuff into my assignment to make it look a little bit longer, but I ran out of ideas.

My assignment?  Probably the easiest one so far.  It's all about logical sense.  Using the analysis of the supply and demand curve to explain the changes through situations affecting a certain product.  It's all about the same, anyways.

I was thinking of seeking help from you all here, but I think this assignment should be done by myself.  It's fair enough, no?  I just have to study my textbook a little bit more to receive inspiration to think and to write.

Besides that, I think I found a loophole when it comes to calling your DiGi friends when they're not in Malaysia.  Lol.  If they're in your FnF list, the rate you're being charged at, is the same.  But of course, in odd places like Singapore, your friend gets charged for RM2 per minute when you get RM0.15 per minute.  XD..

And yes, I wasn't conscious about the fact of the receiver getting charged by per minute, so I kind of got that person into trouble with her parents.  Oopsie daisy.

Besides fun, I think the fact of my Mid Terms being on the 7th to the 11th of May, I'll be canceling my planned KL trip to view the apartment I am going to stay soon, and getting used to the environment there.  Therefore, I will be performing alongside Panic Overdrive in Disted College on the 5th of May.

And no, I don't want to get started about my progress in music.  Getting from bad to worse, and I have no mood to blog about it..

God.  Mid terms.  My Financial Accounting lecturer is leaving for Manchester soon, and there's no classes for next week -_- ..

Wonderful.

How am I going to make it through my mid terms?  I don't even have a basic foundation of accounts..

That is the worst thing so far that has ever happened to me in college.  Gah.  If I don't pass my mid terms, the chances of me passing my Finals would be low.  And if the chances of me passing my finals is low, I won't be able to get good grades for my Financial Accounting.  And if that happens, it'll be one subject down to waste when it's a potential exemption.

Oh well.  That's that.  I'll just go enjoy my Season 3 of South Park until I think of something better to write in the assignment I'll be handing in this Friday..

Besides the several problems mentioned above, picking a decent laptop is also giving me a headache.  Budget's underbudget.. Arggghhhhhhhhhhhh

Wait a minute.  Is a graphic card really that important in a laptop?  Paul and (I think) Edmund asked me to get a laptop with an on-board graphic card while my brother is all pantang over on-board graphic cards.. Then again, having a laptop with a graphic card lightens the load off the processor/motherboard from suffering major graphic loads..

But getting a laptop with a graphic card is going to be more than 3,999.. Then again, I'm not going to have this laptop to install NFS: Carbon or GT4 in any way since I have a PS2 sitting at home.  I can always wait for 4 months to play when I'm in KL.  Lol.

How?  T.T

Need help..feedbacks..comments.. I'm computer hardware illiterate.  Lol

Oooo lala.. Laptops with fingerprint recognition system.. XD.. so funs XD XD XD XD XD XD

Listening To: Panic Overdrive - Waiting For You + Attack In The Jungle

Okay.  Just in case y'all didn't know, Panic Overdrive has a Multiply site.  Of course, I was the one to set it up but I've been really busy these days.  But heck, click here to check it out.

And yes, I was extremely blur when I found out that I had an invitation pending without noticing.  LOL

Yesterday, was a semi-rebonding session between me and Vanesa.  Don't ask.  I was supposed to have lunch with her, but I ended up having dinner and leaving Gurney Plaza at 12am, accompanying her until her mum came back from Nibong Tebal.

I wanted to go back at 4pm, actually.  But it rained, and I rode the bike there.  I left Evolution Music, and went back there in just 10 minutes time.  Practically sat around in the shop for a few hours and got to know the people there.  Talented musicians, and well, all of us facing the same thing.  We're learning more stuff as the day passes.. Or well, at least still in the "learning" process.

Neverending journey.

Since I had nothing else better to do and no classes, Vanesa asked me for dinner, and well, I had dinner with her.  Left Fish & Co at 10 something, and ended up in McDs.  After that, we ended up in Breeks, Secret Recipe and the Gurney Drive walk area.  We kinda caught up, shared problems, and had several heart-to-heart conversations.

Suprisingly, she thanked me for sacrificing what we had back then just for her happiness.  Hmmm..

Ahhh.  I got lazy to write lah.  So long for pulling off a Sibert.  Got class in 50 minutes, and my handphone's barred.  Need to make a trip so I can reply some.. messages :)

I'll be having another church practice tonight for Palm Sunday.  Hope that I'll be able to help out as I won't be playing the bass tonight.  Only 3 more days, man.  It's going to be a tough job.  Gah.

Have a nice day!

DANIEL.  I NEED YOU TO CALL ME ON MY DIGI NUMBER DUDDEEEEEEEEEE.  I lost your maxis number since my 6230i kantoi.  And I don't know where the fuck is your Digi number in my Digi number.  FUCK -_-

Anyways, I just received news from Moe that we'll be playing 1 set instead of the originally planned 2 sets.  We'll be playing from 12.45am to 1.15pm this Saturday at Bukit Jelutong stadium in Shah Alam.

That's it for the Panic Overdrive update.

But here's my personal update!

Since Moe and his cousin will be traveling down to KL by themselves, that leaves Ying Kit, Roy and me.. Well, traveling down practically alone.  Ying Kit and I plan to leave right after the Crown Jewel gig, and I hope it would be.. Well, I'm not sure when, but hopefully leaving at 9.30pm, and arriving at KL at 1.30am or 2am.. So at least we can, well, get people to actually pick us up.

Hence, this is where I really need Daniel's help.  CALL MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Roy will be the problem here, but I trust him well enough that he should be able to arrive in KL way before the performance.  He plans to leave at 8.30am on Saturday morning, but.. Dude:

Leaving at 8.30am.. Arriving in KL at 12.30am, drive to Shah Alam with traffic = 2pm = our set's over.

I'm going to go nuts very VERY soon.  Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

At least Ying Kit, Roy and I can come back earlier instead of taking like.. the 8.30pm bus as planned.  Can get like.. 4.30pm or..Whatever it is.  Yay.

Talk about a suey week.  I went to check out the prices for the Nokia 6151 and it had dropped like RM200 less than its original price.  The 512mbs MicroSD is at RM99 (I'll settle this no worries..), and my dad agreed after knowing of my problem in.. well, the 6230i issue.

There goes a RM830 for him... And an additional RM 2400 for my semester fees @.@

Thank goodness.  I owe him big time... And I believe I owe him more than I can ever think..

I'm here, teaching Ying Kit how to use Reason.  Gah.  Tiring like hell.

Anyways, today, we had our weekly Panic Overdrive jamming session, and today was a little bit different.  Coming up with new flavours based on old school inspiration - Which is very suprising.  A mix of INXS and Offsprings.  Havoc, man.  Musical havoc.

Besides that, the last two songs, the whole band did Blues, man.  From Punk Rock, Rock, Ol' Skool Rock, Heavy Metal... to .. Strong country blues.  I actually had fun playing lead along with Ying Kit.. First time after so long, both of us used our guitars to.. actually, communicate.

Of course, for those people with different aspects and mindsets, y'all would've thought we were gay, but no.  This is serious music harmony.  Best thing was that he was playing aggressively as he depended on the minor pentatonic scale, and I did the major..

When we came up to the last bar, and when we were going to finish up the song.. Both of us switched on our light distortions, and played sweet harmony.  Of course, it sounded messy, but there was a light harmonous ringing going on

:)

More to come from Panic Overdrive :)
