Okay.  I practically went to Prangin Mall's Nokia Priority Centre just to spend nearly half an hour just deleting my messages as my phone went nuts this morning in class.  It kept on resetting itself and took 2 minutes just to load.  And whenever it loaded, it just resetted by itself again.

Went over to the shop to find out what went wrong.. Diagnosed of a case that the software has affected the firmware, and caused the phone to run slower.  Well, that was the problem, until he asked me a question:

"Do you send a lot of SMSes?"

Oh yeah.  Who doesn't send shitloads of SMSes when they're mostly free because of DiGi's MTV Powerpack.  Plus I never cleared my folders since the day I bought my phone.. On the 25th of March.. I spent 15 minutes in the shop deleting 1300 messages in my sent folder, and 1110 messages in my inbox.

Total of 2410 ++ messages being sent out in just a few weeks.  Lol

Of course, after the damage has been done, my phone still experiences a slow startup.  But the time is reduced now, thanks to the empty inboxes.  It's down to less than 15 seconds just to startup.

So.. If any of you are experiencing the same problem as me, I think you should know what to do now.

Nah, this journal doesn't mean anything.  Just a reminder to those who are experiencing the same problem.  Lol.

And I found out that this phone deletes 1msgps (message per second) despite if the messages are in the sent or inbox folder..

Tomorrow shall be the day I die as I have my Pengajian Malaysia Finals going on tomorrow.  And if all goes well, I should arrive at Persiaran Raja Chulan 4 hours after my Finals.

KL, here I come XD

Once again, the handphone review strikes back.  This journal would not exist if it wasn't for the explosion party that happened on the circuitry board for my TOPWORLD Nokia 6230i.

Eventhough TopWorld sells pirated handphone products, I must say that I got the chance to use one of the best mobile phones in the market - back then.

And yes, my experience would stay the same if only my handphone didn't go spoilt due to some stupid company that goes by the name of TopWorld.  Hmmm.

The Nokia 6151 has a larger body compared to my previous phone, the 6230i.  But having the same functions or specifications that was provided by the 6230i, I managed to find a suitable replacement.  Costing at a price of RM830 for an original Zitron set (Note:  Not TopWorld), it's an average buy.  In fact, for the same price, another 6230i can be purchased.

This phone comes in with a 1.3megapixel phone camera, mp3 player, 5MBs of message storage, 1000 storage for contacts, availability of MMC (Multimedia Memory Card) storage - uses MicroSD, 3G-supported, and well, so on and so forth.  The body of the phone has a slight rubber grip on the back and the sides, which reduces the chance of the phone to fall off surfaces when it vibrates due to a call or a received message.

First off, the feel of the phone is great.  The keys are softer than my 6230i, Pat's k700i, k750, and w850i that I've been messing around with.  The keys are really soft, and not sensitive.  Sending SMSes with this phone is definitely comfortable without a doubt.  And the confirmation button is bigger than the 6230i, which makes it easier to access menus.  Although the 6230i has a raised button that allows the user to access menus, it harms the sides of the thumb trying to hit the button due to its size.

The functions are a little bit complicating.  Then again, I'm comparing my phone to the Nokia 6320i.  I'll just need to get used to some of the new functions.  The messaging system is a little bit odd, and the fonts are either too big, or too small.  Seems to me that I can't really ride around SMS-ing people anymore due to this problem.  But what I like about the messaging system, it makes things easier to send messages to multiple people without forgetting who you sent it to.  It has this list that shows the numbers of the contacts you're about to send, which is pretty.. thoughtful after a few years.

And finally, just like Sony Ericsson phones, you're able to cancel the messages you are sending.

Well, I suppose I'm going to skip the usual functions.  There's a calendar, calculator, and all that mumbo jumbo junk that you're able to see in most Nokia colour screen-based phones nowadays.

The Camera, is a little bit odd.  Although taking pictures with this phone is slightly different compared to most phones, but common among most Sony Ericsson phones, where you turn the phone sideways to take pictures like how you do on a Digital Camera, the resolution and colours displayed on the screen is disatisfying.  I never tried transferring any of the pictures to the computer to really check out the quality, but the pictures being taken in the phone are scaled to a certain extend that every picture would seem blur caused by pixels.  Also, the camera has a very "bright" response to the objects it tries to take.  The colour of the objects are pretty much lighter when they're exposed under the wrong set of lighting.  But then again, the multi-effects you're able to mess around with in the camera covers the quality of the pictures.  Also, we're talking about a Nokia-based camera phone here.  Not a Sony Ericsson.

Although I heard that the N93 has a 5-MP camera attached to it, I think SE phones would beat Nokia cameras anytime, anywhere.

Now comes my favourite bit regarding handphones.  The mp3 player.  Trust me, I can't live without a phone with an mp3 player only because I tend to enter the bathroom with it.  The quality of the phones, I've compared earlier on with my mum's 6151 and my 6230i.  The 6230i is louder on an overall scale, but the 6151 provides clearer sound quality.  6230i provides more bass on the loudspeaker, while the 6151 sounds like an Air Force 1 Army Jet.  Too much treble over bass (and I'm serious about this..).  I tried messing around with the equalisers, and it kind of patched the problem by a little.  Sadly, the maximum volume for the music player isn't that satisfying.  But for some reason, I felt somewhat contented with the hi-treble bit.  But then again, it kind of pierced everybody's ears in the house last night when I played Nickelback - Rockstar.

Then again, I was looking for a phone that has a "reasonable" phone book and messaging memory.  So the downfall of the odd camera and the music player doesn't affect me much.

Lastly, the battery is amazing.  Although this phone is considered as a "high performance" phone due to its display in colours, and functions, the BP-6M definitely runs a lot more powerful compared to the BL-5C (Nokia 2100, 3100, 6230, 6230i, etc) of the BL-6C (N-Gage).  I would usually be left with 4 bars left if I constantly send SMSes without calls from the morning till the evenings.  I charged the phone until midnight, and it only lost like, 1/5 of its total battery life.  I'd say that it should be able to run for more than 1 and a half days with frequent use.  According to several sites, the standby time is 250hours, I think?  But that won't usually happen.  But in terms of overall battery lifespan, Nokia has a long way to go compared to Sony Ericsson.
