Okay. So here's the thing. I only know how to use and kill a computer. Of course, having a WoW freak under the roof isn't a bad thing as he's the one maintaining the computers.

But then again, when it comes to 32-bit graphics and 64-bit graphics, that's when I'll slit my wrists and die the next day.

So, I kind of checked the specs and requirements for both Reason 3.0 and Adobe Audition 1.5:

Adobe Audition 1.5

-- 400 MHz or faster processor (2 GHz or faster processor recommended)

-- Microsoft Windows 2000 or Windows XP Professional or Home Edition

-- 64 MB RAM (512 MB or more recommended)

-- 75 MB of available hard-disk space (700 MB recommended for installing optional audio clips)

-- 800 x 600 color display (1024 x 768 display recommended)

-- Stereo sound card (multitrack sound card recommended)

-- CD-ROM drive (a CD-RW drive is required for audio CD creation)

-- Microsoft DirectX 9.0 or later required for video import

-- Speakers or headphones recommended

-- Microphone (optional)

Reason 3.0

Intel Pentium III 600 MHz or better
256 MB RAM
2 GB free hard disk space
CD-ROM drive
Windows XP/2000 or later
Monitor with 800x600 pixels resolution or better
16-bit windows compatible audio card, preferably with DirectX or ASIO drivers
Recommended: MIDI keyboard with built-in MIDI interface, or MIDI keyboard and MIDI interface

According to this link here, it says that both Audition 1.5 and Reason 3.0.4 works fine. Best thing is that I forgot what version was my Reason. I know it's a 3.0, but I'm unsure if it's a 3.0.4 or not..

And what's up with all of this 32-bit programmes? I'm getting a little bit confused now.. It says that Adobe Photoshop 7.0 32-bit is compatible..And what the hell is that supposed to mean? T.T

And.. Uh.. Does anybody have personal comments and views regarding Windows Vista? Pros and Cons? I know the GUI is totally different compared to Windows XP, ME, 2000, 98 and 95.. Anything regarding audio restrictions? Lol

I feel like a dumbass now. Lol

a few of my friends running vista reported problems and glitches when running certain programs.
anyways why the hell do you want to donate 300+ to billgates

and dont worry about 32 bit ... all windows are running in 32bit
unless your processor and OS is running on 64 bit

dont worry lar when i'm back i find for you.
i already shortlisted for you d a NEC with free dos.
just install pirate windows will do lar

When it comes to servicing and all that, I think it'll be convenient for me to get a lappie from house of notebooks - where they sell everything in vista -.-

then again..the GUI is the silent salesman..very attractive.. I suppose I'm getting suckered, but then again.. I'll need to stick to my roots ... I'll stick to XP lah.. fuck Vista.. too many glitches, incompatible softwares, and all that junk..

edmund..where's the place you sourced out the laptops? Waiting for you to come back..will talk to my dad regarding this matter..

32 bit 64 bit is referring to ur processor... AMD's turion is a 64 bit proc... most intel procs are 32 bits.... lalalalala.....

and the windows on their com typically last 2 weeks before it cant boot up ... happend to 3 person already... is like they program some virus in there..\

You should have asked me earlier bro, im a tech expert. lols. self-declared one though. Anyway. VISTA is not completely stable, there are still some bugs and compatibility issues, it's also a resource sucker thanks to the new Aero GUI. It's not worth it, and it's rather complicated as I see it. Tried Vista personally, and I don't like it at all, it only looks bling bling with all the HD and Aeron stuff, but like I said before, it sucks the resource outta your system. If you're going to get a laptop with Vista for recording and photoshop-ing, i think you'll probably need like 2Gbs of ram and a good processor. I'd stick to XP if I were you bro.

My brother said that the free dos thing will be a problem..don't know what sorta technical stuff about drivers for the components of the computer besides the motherboard and all that..

80% of the laptops in esquare are like.. laptops w/ free dos..

I think I'll be able to get my laptop only in august..trying to push the purchase a little bit forward..need to convince the king of the house xD
