for everyone
Mood: Semi-tired
Listening To: TV

Today's a Friday. I haven't been going online because I have been entirely busy due to this week being the deadline for the album. Suprisingly, we managed to pull it off on a last minute basis. Even Schizzow was wondering, why does it all have to be a last minute project when it comes to albums? Even the first FDM ep was a last minute job.

Well, this time, I've analysed and made my conclusion from my view. We planned for the album. Everything that supported the idea, but we forgot the most important thing. Composition.

We had dreams, yet we never prepared the tools. Verses left unwritten, beats (songs) left uncomposed and we wanted an album? Damn. I was stressed like nuts for the past month and glad to say, it paid off.

But as I speak, who knows. The FDM duo who are in KL at the moment, who was supposed to send the master copy to this printing company, might be still mixing the songs. The deadline was supposed to be the afternoon today, but it was stretched till 6pm just now, when I SMS-ed wormy for progress results.

I can't do anything. I'm no sound engineer. I'm just a musician and I would try my best to help out FDM. But since the distance has seperated us, I hope they will be able to get everything settled by tomorrow, which is the day of their expected return.

Good luck, Schizzow and Wormy.. Part of my biggest accomplishment is in your hands now. And everything else that will make FDM reign is in your hands! Make everything go well..

Anyways, last night would be the deadline night. As expected, the last recording night for the year. Or the moment. Who knows? Met up with Freddie, Tong Seng, Kelvyn, Scully and this insane jazz group that were doing their recording.

Who WERE they..? All I know is that they were DAMN good. Gosh..

So you can say, last night I managed to see D'Cuzzy in recording action. Freddie is nuts. He's been practising with mics too much until his takes takes less than 10 minutes. And he added track layers to his lines, making it sound thicker and better.. I don't know. I'm just speechless. It's great to watch professionals at works. Timing was in place, he was in tune. I don't know. He has a sharp ear for tune and timing. Gah.

Makes me feels so paiseh at times.

Last night, we stayed in the studio till 5.30am in the morning. Rooshster had her exams and all, and gosh.. She stayed until that late. I hope she did well overall. I can't help stop thinking about her exams, but it's good she managed to make it for the recording sessions. I didn't do much when it came to my mid terms. Grrrr.

We managed to share jokes and quick mixing sessions with Wormy and Schizzow, hoping to complete the master copy once they reached KL. But sadly, they were still mixing it till 6pm just now. Plus, they took the 7.30am bus. They must've got back home at 5.45am and mixed till they got to the bus, rested and mixed more when they got to KL. I don't know.

I'm pretty much excited about the album coming out, but our health is at risk. I remember in Naza hotel on Tuesday, Schizzow, Wormy and I were down with sicknesses. Flu, coughs, infected toes (Or maybe it's just Schizzow..) and all that. But all this effort, is going down the right way. All that time being put to the right use and spent the right way. Nothing feels better than accomplishment! Yeah.

I'm dying to wait for the album to come out. Then again, I hope that they're taking good care of themselves.

Since the Mid Terms, I haven't been sleeping properly because I have been studying and staying up late. When that finished, I was hooked up with Recording sessions, which made me maintain the same amount of sleep I get every day during the Mid Terms. only 3 or 4 hours of sleep per night. And for the past 2 days, I've been getting the worst headache ever. Not even Panadol stops the pain. I'm still experiencing the problem now. Grrr.

And today, I paid a trip to the Toyota showhouse in town.  I never been there since 2002.  And the last time I went there, it was in with an old Camry, and out with a newer Camry.  We managed to see the 2006/7 edition Camry.  The 6th generation, they say.  2.0e, 2.0g and 2.4v.  The differences compared to the 5th generation of Camrys would be the interior and exterior.  Performance should be the same.

The front part of the exterior reminds me of a Proton Gen2.  I don't know.  The headlights, the bonnet, it's so.. round..  Which brings me to the back of the car, the booth area.  The brakelights looks like as if it's a Honda Accord?  I don't know.  I must be getting blind.  Grrr.  They didn't make it look so squarish (not as squarish like old cars), and thanks to the un-edged exterior, the car actually looks smaller.  And the height of the ride would be a little bit lower, and it's still as spacious as ever.  Good for long distance riding, but never for racing.  Then again, I'm not a car freak, so I can't give out much information.

Besides that, I checked out for gearboxes.  It follows the designs of automatic Mercedez Benz and old school Volvos.  I'm too lazy to look up for the pictures, but here's a headsup.  The design for the Camry Hybrid and the Malaysian Camrys are different.  The Hybrid model looks more sinister because of its sleek and thin headlights.

The 2.0g and 2.4v Camry comes with MID/Xenon Headlights, approved by JPJ.  Whereas, the 2.0e would be using the same old halogen lights.  All three models comes with foglamps on the bodykits.  The 5th Generation (And not the one in between) doesn't have foglamps on their 2.0 models.  Only 2.4 had them.

Uh.  And the prices are insane.  It's like, 139k, 149k and 169k for the 2.0e, 2.0g and 2.4v respectively.  The 2.0e would be the one that turns me off the most as it's the lowest range among the 3 models.  The one in between would be the 2.0g.  But I'm loving the 2.4v seats!  Although leather, but it feels great sitting in a Camry.  And to think to always have thoughts about others saying that it feels comfortable to sit in a Camry.  Now I feel it myself too!

The new Camrys?  Not bad, I'd say.  Like the car it is, it's good for long distance travelling, and it's extremely comfortable.  But, my heart dwells in the engines of Alfa Romeos.  :)

Oh well. I guess that's about it for my update after a day of being offline. Glad to meet up with Tong Seng of D'Cuzzy after so long! Now it's back to my Marketing notes - only if I'm not lazy enough to do it -______-

Good for old people and highway cruising lo.
Dissapointed with the 2.0 because still using 4speed G/B.

But that said, at this price range, its still competitive.
